Meta Weekly Media Briefing — November 2, 2026
Week of October 26 – November 1. This is the whole briefing; nothing to click.
Katelyn,
This week —
- Settled NC-ROAS fell to 0.52x (Oct 19-25) — the worst reading in the dataset. The old catchall's $86 CPMs with half of last year's customer volume drove CAC to $132.
- The budget cut and campaign restructure from the Oct 26 meeting are live. A new Q4 prospecting campaign launched at ~$1,500/day with evergreen ads. Early Meta-reported ROAS: 1.45x across 7 days — better trajectory, but provisional and platform-reported, not Shopify-verified.
- October closed at 38.5% MER against the 26% ceiling, with gross revenue of $269K vs the $400K target.
- Holiday retargeting went live Nov 1 — 257 purchases in one day. Retargeting share spiked to ~27% for the current window and will need monitoring against the 15% cap.
New-customer economics (settled: Oct 19-25)
NC-ROAS: 0.52x — down from 0.87x the prior settled week, 37% below the 4-week median (0.82x), and 62% below YoY (1.37x). New customers: 207, down 53% YoY (441) and 28% below median (289.5). NC-CAC: $132.11, nearly 3x YoY ($43.81) and 59% above median ($83.31). AOV: $69.03, flat. This is the steepest decline in the dataset — the week the old catchall ran at doubled CPMs after the CBO takedown.
🟡 Hub data generated Oct 27 (6 days stale). Settled figures are final. Provisional Oct 26-Nov 1 has only 1 day of Hub Meta data — not reportable.
Meta program structure
The account underwent a clean structural shift. The old catchall went dark around Oct 27. A new Q4 prospecting campaign launched Oct 26: single adset (USA Females 24+), lowest-cost-without-cap bidding, ~$1,500/day. This implements both the budget cut (from $3,000) and the evergreen creative strategy from the meeting.
Q4 campaign first 7 days (Meta-reported, provisional): $9,904 spend, 232 purchases, $14,336 revenue, 1.45x ROAS. CPMs averaging $62 — down 28% from the old catchall's $86. Day-level ROAS ranged 1.06x–1.76x with no collapse trend. All days still within the attribution window and filling in.
Retargeting: steady $350–520/day through Oct 30, then spiked to $1,343 on Nov 1 as the holiday early-access adset launched. Settled-week share (Oct 19-25): 10.4%, under cap. Current window: ~27%, driven entirely by the Nov 1 spike.
Creative and funnel health
Six ads running in the Q4 campaign. Top two concentrate 73.5% of spend:
"I put this in my vacuum filter" → Bestsellers Spray Pack LP: $3,938 (40%), 81 purchases, CPM $64, CTR 1.96%. "POV Vacuum Hack" → Vacuum Hack LP: $3,340 (34%), 89 purchases, CPM $64, CTR 1.74%. Both are evergreen cleaning-angle creatives — the strategy from the meeting. A third variant ("Vacuum filter" → Vacuum Hack LP) added $1,041 with 30 purchases. The diffuser concept got $1,000 with 25 purchases — under 30, so no call per measurement rules. Flannel received just $317; lowest-cost delivery is naturally suppressing what doesn't convert cold.
Funnel: click-to-LPV rates run 93–100% across the top ads. ATC rates look healthy on the vacuum creatives. No landing-page bottleneck visible.
No holiday prospecting creative is live yet.
Diffuser panel
Diffuser prospecting is a single ad in the Q4 campaign averaging ~$143/day — too early and too few purchases (25) for a meaningful read. Retargeting diffuser adset: $217 since Oct 26 with 15 purchases and $2,037 revenue. Strong ROAS at small scale.
MER and revenue
October: 38.5% MER vs the 26% ceiling (12.5pp over). Gross revenue $269K vs the $400K target. September was 26.2% and $437K. The budget cut to $1,500/day shrinks the numerator, but MER improvement depends on holiday revenue arriving. November ceiling: 30%.
Commitment loop
From the Oct 26 meeting — cut prospecting to $1,500/day: ✓ live since Oct 26. Build evergreen ad set with top performers: ✓ live, six ads, vacuum angle dominant. Holiday creative filming: pending — no holiday prospecting creative in the ad data yet. ChatGPT ads review: no sign in the data.
Outside signals
Ezra Firestone Q4 playbook (Score 5): video-view campaigns to build warm audiences before BFCM. The holiday retargeting launch aligns with the "go early" approach, but no prospecting audience-seeding campaign is visible yet. BFCM cohort retention data (Score 5): 11.5% repurchase vs 18.8% normal — argues for tighter holiday acquisition thresholds, not wider.
Standing open items
NC pixel: zero readings for 9+ consecutive weeks. Highest-priority infrastructure fix — without it, Hub NC-ROAS remains the only reliable new-customer measurement. BFCM audience seeding: deadline narrowing, no video-view campaign visible.
Data: Hub JSON generated Oct 27 (🟡). Windsor 7dc, current through Nov 1. ISO week 44 — not a grading week.
